Memorial Day & Summer Program 2021 Information

What is the purpose of Memorial Day?
“Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them.”-Franklin D. Roosevelt

On this Memorial Day 2021, pause to remember the soldiers’ lives that have been lost to allow us to have the freedoms we enjoy today. This is the day to think upon the dead. Veterans Day is the day to thank the still living. Confusing the two days does not honor those serving in the military, but shows a lack of understanding of the purpose of each day. So amidst the parades, grave side decorations, and family celebrations, take some time this day for you and your children to reflect upon the lost lives of the armed forces and appreciate their sacrifices.
