The Joy of Math
Mathematics is often misunderstood as a daunting subject, filled with complex formulas and abstract concepts. However, at its core, math is about problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. Studying math provides us with a set of tools to understand the world around us and solve real-life problems. The joy of math lies in the discovery of patterns and relationships, the thrill of finding elegant solutions, and the satisfaction that comes from unraveling a challenging problem. As students delve deeper into mathematical concepts, they develop a resilient mindset that fosters perseverance and a love for learning.
This Year’s JEI Math Olympiad
One exciting way to experience the joy of math is by participating in the 2024 JEI Math Olympiad. It challenges students and provides a platform to showcase their skills and passion for mathematics. JEI Learning Centers would like to invite students from first through eighth grade to participate in the 2024 Math Olympiad.

- Eligibility: Open to all students, 1st through 8th grade
It’s a race against the clock as your child goes head-to-head with students from around the country to answer 30 math problems in under an hour. Questions will be divided by grade levels and are based on JEI’s Math and Problem Solving Math curriculum. Students can see how well they have honed their critical thinking, reasoning, logic, and mathematical knowledge by solving as many problems correctly on the Math Olympiad.

- Registration: February 1st – March 15th
- JEI Students: $25
- Non-JEI Students: $35
PRIZES
Awarded by grade:
- 1st Place: $250
- 2nd Place: $150
- 3rd Place: $50
